Dr.
Frank Lattarulo attended the New York College Of Podiatric
Medicine and graduated in 1983. His honors included
being in the National Honor Society for Podiatric Medical
Students (1981-1983), and being voted into Who's Who
Among American Colleges and Universities (1982-1983).
He served as Student Government President (1981-1982)
as well as serving on the Executive Council of the New
York College of Podiatric Medicine Student Association
for the years 1980 -1983. Upon graduation, he received
the Steven Seifer Outstanding Graduating Senior award
voted on by his peers.
After
graduation, Dr. Lattarulo went on to a 2 year surgical
residency program.
The first year of his residency training he spent rotating
through North General / Joint Disease in Manhattan,
Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, and Saint Barnabas
Hospital also in New York. Following his first year
residency, he went on to become the Chief Surgical Resident
in Podiatric Surgery at Saint Barnabas, where in 1 year
alone, he |

logged over 500 surgical procedures. In 1985, he went
into partnership with his father, Dr. Emil Lattarulo,
also a podiatrist and became Board Certified in Foot surgery
in 1989. |

Family
Podiatry Associates was opened in 1989, and has been
growing ever since. The office recently expanded and
built a fully operational O.R. suite for out patient
surgical procedures. Dr. Lattarulo's hospital affiliations
include Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan, as
well as Phelps Memorial Hospital in Tarrytown. He considers
Phelps Memorial Hospital his "main" hospital
for Podiatric medical admissions as well as for in patient
and out patient surgery.

While a large part of the practice is surgical in nature,
Podiatric Medicine in general also encompasses a great
deal of what's considered "Routine Foot Care"-
(the cutting of corns, calluses, ingrown nails, warts,
etc.). Dr. Lattarulo learned that part of his practice
from his father, who has been in practice since 1952
when that's all Podiatrists were allowed, by law, to
do. There is no substitute for almost 50 years of practical
application. Dr. Emil Lattarulo's father was also a
Physician (an Obstetrician), so Dr. Frank Lattarulo
is a 3rd generation doctor. Medicine has always been
in the family and that is one reason he takes so much
pride in his work.
